Example 2: Create Custom Groups- Filtering with Multiple Conditions

You can use multiple conditions with an AND or an OR operator to display the recipients that meet the criteria of multiple conditions.

The following example outlines filtering the complete list of recipients for only those employees with a Preferred Language of French or Spanish.

  1. Complete the following on the Conditions tab:

    1. Click the Add Condition button.

    2. Click the Select a field drop-down and select Preferred Language.

    3. Select Equal. Please note that Equal value is set by default. However, if you want to change, you can click the drop-down menu to select Not Equals which enables you to exclude specific values, which is useful if you want to target all clients except for one or two.

    4. Click the Select drop-down and select French.

    5. Click the Add Conditionbutton. A new row appears.

    6. Click the OR operator.

    7. Click the Select a field drop-down and select Preferred Language.

    8. Select Equal.

    9. Click the Select drop-down and select Spanish.

  2. Click the Preview button. The Group Preview pop-up screen is displayed where you can preview the list of recipients details fetched using the above OR condition.

    The following graphic illustrates the preview results of recipients fetched by selecting two condition with the OR operator. Please note that if there are more than 25 records, the Group Preview pop-up only displays the first 25 records.

  3. To view the full recipients in the group, click the Save button. A success message is displayed stating, Your conditions have been saved, and the recipient list is now being updated. and the results are displayed on the Recipients tab.
